Interactive flat panels for schools in the UAE and GCC
Official ViewSonic brand partner, so schools buy at education pricing rather than list price. Smart boards supplied, installed and supported across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, and installed for schools throughout the GCC — surveyed, mounted, cabled and handed over to your teachers with training.
Smart board, digital board, interactive whiteboard — same thing
Schools across the region call these by different names, and tender documents rarely agree with each other. If you are looking for any of the following, you are looking for the product on this page.
| What it gets called | Where you hear it |
|---|---|
| Interactive flat panel | The industry term, used in most UAE and GCC tenders |
| Smart board | What teachers and parents usually say |
| Digital board | Common in Indian-curriculum and CBSE schools |
| Interactive whiteboard | Older term, carried over from projector-and-board setups |
| Interactive display / touch screen | Manufacturer wording, and common in corporate fit-outs |
| Classroom panel | Shorthand in school IT departments |
One difference is worth knowing before you buy.
Interactive whiteboard
A projector aimed at a touch surface. Washes out in daylight, casts shadows over the teacher, and the bulb is a running cost.
Interactive flat panel
One screen with touch built in. Bright in full sun, nothing to shadow, no bulb, and far fewer parts that can fail.
Almost every school replacing a projector setup in the region is moving to panels for exactly these reasons.
Buying direct from a brand partner
Most suppliers in the UAE buy ViewSonic panels from a middleman and add their margin on top. We are an official ViewSonic brand partner, so we source direct — and schools get education pricing, not the price a reseller quotes off a website.
| What partner status means | What you get |
|---|---|
| Education pricing | Schools, nurseries and colleges qualify for ViewSonic education rates. The bigger the rollout, the better it gets. |
| Direct supply | No middleman margin, and no waiting while a reseller chases stock from someone else. |
| Warranty handled properly | We raise claims directly with ViewSonic rather than passing you down a chain. |
| Demo units | We can bring a real panel into your classroom before you commit to anything. |
| Roadmap access | We know what is launching and when, so you are not buying a model about to be replaced. |
Planning a whole-school rollout? Tell us the number of classrooms and the sizes, and we will come back with education pricing for the full project — including mounting, cabling and handover, not just the panels.
The panel is the easy part
What goes wrong is everything around it. The wall turns out to be a partition that will not take the weight. There is no power within four metres. The school wifi handles twelve classrooms casting, not forty. And six months later nobody knows who to call.
We survey the room before we quote, so the price you see is the price you pay. We handle the mounting, the power, the data point and the network behind it. And we are still answering the phone in year three.
Why we recommend ViewSonic ViewBoard
As an official ViewSonic brand partner we supply the full education range. It suits most UAE schools for three reasons.
| Reason | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Software included | The teaching tools come with the panel rather than as a yearly subscription, so your five-year cost stays predictable. |
| Central management | Your IT person checks and updates every panel from one screen instead of walking to each classroom. |
| Works with what you have | Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams and Seesaw all connect without extra licences. |
What it costs you over five years
Schools usually compare the purchase price and stop there. The gap shows up later, once the yearly software bills start arriving.
| Over five years | ViewSonic ViewBoard | Panels sold with a software licence |
|---|---|---|
| Teaching software | Included with the panel | Renewed and paid for every year |
| Central management | Included | Often a paid add-on |
| Cloud storage for teachers | Included | Usually tied to the licence |
| Software updates | Free, over the air | Stops when the licence lapses |
| What happens if you stop paying | Nothing — the panel keeps working | Tools switch off, panel becomes a screen |
On a forty-classroom rollout, that difference is usually larger than the price gap between brands on day one. Ask us to put both numbers in front of you before you decide.
The current ViewBoard range

Availability changes. Tell us the room and the budget and we will confirm which series is in stock for the UAE before you commit to anything.
The software comes with the panel
This is the part schools underestimate. Every ViewBoard includes ViewSonic's education software at no extra cost, so there is no annual licence waiting for you in year two.
| Tool | What it does | Who uses it |
|---|---|---|
| myViewBoard | Digital whiteboard and lesson delivery, with live collaboration and accessibility tools | Teachers |
| AirSync | Wireless casting from a laptop, tablet or phone — no cable, no dongle | Teachers and students |
| Manager | Central control of every panel on campus: updates, settings, monitoring | Your IT team |
| ClassSwift | Turns existing lesson material into interactive questions and tracks responses | Teachers |
| TeamOne | Shared whiteboarding for meetings and staff rooms | Leadership and admin |
We set these up during handover and train your staff on the two they will actually use every day. The rest can wait.
Sizes and what a quote covers
Every quote is built for the actual rooms, so it includes the panel, the wall mount, cabling to the nearest point, setup and handover — not just the screen with the awkward parts left out.
| Size | Suits |
|---|---|
| 55 – 65 inch | Nursery rooms, small classrooms, meeting rooms |
| 75 inch | The standard classroom — the size most schools choose |
| 86 inch | Large classrooms, labs, boardrooms |
| 98 – 105 inch | Lecture halls, auditoriums, large training rooms |
Send us your classroom count and sizes and we will come back with education pricing for the whole project, itemised line by line.
Work out your size in ten seconds
Teachers judge a panel on whether a child at the back can read normal text. Drag to the distance from your screen to the furthest desk.
A standard UAE classroom is about 5 metres deep.
Schools that drop a size to save money regret it within a term. Schools that go one size up never complain. If you are unsure, we will measure the room ourselves before quoting.
How an install actually runs
Six stages, in order, from the first visit to the year after.
Survey
We visit, check wall construction, measure sightlines, and find where power and data actually are.
Quote
Itemised. Electrical and mounting work shown separately, never buried in a single figure.
Install
Mounting, cabling, power, network connection and testing. Room by room, around your timetable.
Setup
Connected to your Google or Microsoft accounts, every panel named and registered for central control.
Handover
A training session with your teachers, not just the IT coordinator who already knows.
Support
Warranty claims raised by us, with optional annual maintenance after that.
Not only for classrooms
We install panels in boardrooms, training rooms and clinics — anywhere people currently crowd around a laptop or fight with a projector.
Meeting rooms
Teams and Zoom calls with everyone visible, and screen sharing without cables.
Training rooms
Annotate over documents live, then save the session and send it out afterwards.
Reception areas
Digital signage when the room is not in use.
Whatever curriculum you teach
Schools in this region run every curriculum going, and each one puts different demands on classroom technology. We install for all of them.
| Curriculum | What usually matters most |
|---|---|
| British / IGCSE | Teacher-led lesson delivery, annotation over resources, KHDA and ADEK inspection readiness |
| American | Google Classroom integration, student casting, benchmark testing on screen |
| IB | Group collaboration, multiple students writing on screen at once |
| CBSE / Indian | Large class sizes, so screen size and viewing distance matter more than anything |
| Ministry of Education (UAE and GCC) | Arabic language support, content filtering, central IT control |
Where we install
Our own engineers install across all seven emirates and throughout the GCC — survey, mounting, cabling, setup, teacher handover and support.
United Arab Emirates
Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah. Same-week site surveys and ongoing support after handover.
Wider GCC
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. Full installation, and a common choice for school groups standardising across more than one country. Tell us the sites and we will scope it with you.
Questions we get asked
How much does an interactive flat panel cost in the UAE?
It depends on size, quantity, and what the room needs — mounting, power and cabling vary a lot between buildings. As an official ViewSonic brand partner we quote schools, nurseries and colleges at education pricing, and rates improve on larger rollouts. Send us your classroom count and we will come back with an itemised quote.
Do schools get a discount on ViewSonic panels?
Yes. We are an official ViewSonic brand partner, so schools, nurseries and colleges qualify for education pricing rather than list price. Rates improve further on larger rollouts. Send us your classroom count and we will quote the full project.
Are you an authorised ViewSonic supplier in the UAE?
Yes. H7 Labs is an official ViewSonic brand partner. We supply direct, handle warranty claims with ViewSonic ourselves, and can bring a demo unit to your school.
Do panels need a computer connected?
No. ViewBoard panels run on their own. A slot-in PC is worth it only if your teachers depend on Windows software the panel cannot run.
How long does installation take?
A single panel takes a few hours. A full school of forty to sixty panels is usually three to four weeks, scheduled around your timetable.
Can you install during term time?
Yes. Most of our school installs are done room by room while teaching continues elsewhere on campus.
Will it work with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams?
Yes, both. We set this up during handover so your teachers can sign in on day one.
What happens if a panel fails?
We handle the warranty claim directly with the manufacturer and keep you updated until it is resolved.
How long do they last?
Plan for seven to eight years of daily classroom use.
Do you cover all of the UAE?
Yes — Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.
Can we see one before deciding?
Yes. We bring a demo panel to your own classroom at no cost and no obligation.
What is the difference between a smart board and an interactive flat panel?
A smart board is what most people call an interactive flat panel, so in everyday use they mean the same thing. The real distinction is with an interactive whiteboard, which uses a projector aimed at a touch-sensitive surface. Panels are brighter in daylight, need no bulb replacement and have far fewer moving parts.
Which size is best for a classroom in the UAE?
75 inch suits most standard classrooms. Measure from the screen to the furthest desk: 4 metres needs at least 65 inch, 5 metres needs 75 inch, and 6 metres or more needs 86 inch. Large CBSE and Ministry classrooms often go bigger again.
Do you supply outside the UAE?
Yes. We install across all seven emirates and throughout the GCC — Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain — with our own engineers, including survey, mounting, cabling, setup and handover.
Do panels support Arabic?
Yes. The interface and the teaching software both run in Arabic, and panels handle Arabic handwriting and on-screen annotation.
Will the panels meet KHDA or ADEK expectations?
Inspection frameworks look at how technology supports teaching rather than which brand is on the wall. What matters is that panels are actually used, that teachers are trained, and that student data and internet access are protected. We cover the training at handover and can quote the filtering and firewall side separately.
Can we replace projectors across a whole school in one go?
Yes, and it is the most common project we run. We schedule around your timetable, work room by room, and can phase the cost across terms or a financial year if that suits your budgeting.
See one in your own classroom
Get a panel into a real classroom with real teachers for a morning, and the decision makes itself. We bring demo units anywhere in the UAE, free of charge — and as an official ViewSonic partner we quote schools at education pricing.
